Concentration in Linguistics

Undergraduates who concentrate in linguistics study language as a structured system and have the opportunity to explore, through individualized programs developed jointly by the student and advisor, aspects of language structure, change, behavior, and use that are of particular interest to each concentrator. The Department of Linguistics has over 100 undergraduate concentrators, and awards an average of 35 B.A./B.S. degrees annually.
