Thank you for considering a tax-deductible donation to the Department of Linguistics.

President's Challenge:

The Department’s current fundraising focus is financial aid for our graduate students. U-M President Coleman has created a new gift challenge program to support this effort: every $2 contributed for graduate student support will be matched by $1 from the President's Challenge Fund. The Challenge is in effect through December 31, 2008, although the matching funds are limited, so earlier contributions are more likely to be eligible for the matching funds.

Linguistics Department Strategic Opportunities Fund:

Your help is needed in many areas. The Department continues to develop new, often collaborative, teaching efforts that highlight the interdisciplinary strengths of our faculty and interests of our students. We understand the extraordinary value of research experience as part of students' undergraduate education, and aim to provide and support research and internship opportunities for our most talented undergraduate students. Of course, we also seek to recruit top faculty, and to provide them with the resources needed to remain at the forefront of research. The Department's Strategic Opportunities Gift Fund supports these and other projects and endeavors.
